Turn in your grades and then come celebrate the end of the spring semester with a few slices of pizza and a dollop of professional development! The Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology’s Summer Kickoff 2015 starts Tuesday, May 12, at 11 a.m. Stop in and stay for as long as you can. No registration is necessary.
We’ll have food, good conversation, and a chance to survey the many workshops and events we have planned for this year’s Summer Institute. In addition, come and talk with some of our Faculty Fellows about their specific workshops as part of two special SpeedGeeking sessions:

SpeedGeeking is like speed dating. It’s a quick method for the exchange of ideas in a highly interactive way. Participants will engage with a small group of colleagues for about 10 minutes at a time. Participants will learn about a given topic and can briefly share what’s worked (or what hasn’t) in their classroom. Facilitators will be on hand to provide guidance and keep discussions on topic. When the 10 minutes are up, groups are shuffled, and the creative process begins again. The goal is spark innovative ideas in teaching by exposing participants to as many perspectives as possible in a short amount of time.
