The last week of the semester can make many students feel anxious and stressed. If you are a student within the Illinois State residence halls, University Housing Services (UHS) is asking you to take a break from studying and writing to “Relieve the Stress With UHS.”

On Monday, May 4, and Tuesday, May 5, students can stop by the locations listed below to find some relaxing activities to re-energize for the week. Take the opportunity to unwind with a chair massage or make a heat pad to use throughout the week. There is also a chance to make some trail mix for a boost in brain power or just forget all your worries by coloring a picture.

“Relieve the Stress With UHS” will be at the following locations:

  • Linkins lower level in West Campus, 11 a.m.–noon
  • East Campus Vrooman Center lobby, 12:30–1:30 p.m.
  • Watterson Towers lobby, 2–3 p.m.

Another way to calm the nerves during this last week is cleaning and packing for move out. As you begin this process, please remember to lend a hand through “Pass It On.” “Pass It On” is a program that collects clothing, nonperishable food items and small household items (pillows, dishes, small appliances, etc.) to give to families within the Bloomington-Normal community. When you stop by the lobby areas to relax, remember to lend a hand by dropping off items in the lobby collection bins too. “Pass It On” will conclude Saturday, May 9.
