As we wrap up the school year, Student Council, the Library, and the Book Bike would like to thank you all for your generosity in donating a total of over 2,700 books in our Book Drive this year. The Normal CornBelters were so impressed with our efforts and our generosity that they are sponsoring a Metcalf Night at the Corn Crib on Tuesday, July 7. Doors open at 5:35 p.m., and the game begins at 6:35 p.m.

Each student will receive FREE bleacher seats to the game for you and your family to use. These vouchers can be redeemed the night of the game. There will be FREE family activities that night followed by a chance to run the bases after the game. This will be a special night full of fun for the whole Metcalf family.

Your tickets will be arriving with your fourth quarter report card in early June. Please be sure to check your envelopes for the tickets. Let us know if you do not receive tickets. Should you have more tickets than you need or will use, drop them off in the office this summer. We will create a supply of extra tickets should your family need them. If you are unable to make the game, the vouchers are still valid for any Tuesday night game throughout the summer.

Another exciting and special part of Metcalf Night at the Corn Crib  is the first pitch ceremony. This involves one student throwing out the first pitch. If your family plans on attending and would like a chance for your son or daughter to throw out the first pitch, please submit this form by 11:59 p.m. June 29. You will need to submit the form for EACH of your children.

If you have any questions about Metcalf Night at the Corn Crib or the first pitch, please contact Andy Goveia at aegovei@IllinoisState.edu or  (309) 438-2485.
