Calling all junior business majors!

Junior year is a pivotal time in one’s college career, and the College of Business has put together a two-hour program designed to equip junior business majors with resources that are available to them as they begin the last leg of their journey here at Illinois State University.

In the annual Junior Experience Day event, taking place on the first Friday of classes (August 21) from 10 a.m. to noon, Career Center staff and various faculty will be presenting from each department on key components that will help students begin their junior year with a bang.

Barbara Ribbens, director of the international business/Study Abroad program, will review the different opportunities available to students, as well as the costs and benefits associated with this program. Students will also learn about hiring preferences of various companies, prioritizing development of important skill sets, and earning college credit through internships. This event will provide a wonderful opportunity to mix and mingle with faculty, staff and other students.

All College of Business majors beginning their junior year are invited to come join in the fun, enjoy an ice cream social at the end of the program, and have a chance to earn prizes. Please visit Business.IllinoisState.edu/Advising/JRExperience for more information on meeting location.
