The first University Club (U-Club) Gourmet Dinner for fall 2015 will have a Cuban theme. The dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, September 26, in the Founders Suite of the Bone Student Center. The cost is $30 per person.

Reservations must be mailed no later than Thursday, September 17. A reservation form is available here.

The Cuban Dinner menu consists of the following four courses:

  • Ceviche De Camaron—shrimp, scallops, white fish, and mussels marinated in lime juice, chilies, and cilantro served with tortilla chips
  • Ensalada De Frijol Negro—black beans, onion, celery, tomatoes, and lettuce tossed in balsamic vinaigrette
  • Ropa Vieja—shredded beef in tomato sauce, and Mositas De Puerco—fried pork morsels with grilled onions and garlic sauce, served with corn and flour tortillas, salsa, arroz Espanol (yellow rice), and calabacitas (roasted squash, tomatoes and chilies)
  • Flan De Coco—baked coconut, caramel, and custard
