OneDrive and Office 365 for Mobile
Tuesday, September 8 • 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Take your projects on the go using Microsoft Office apps for iOS, Android, and Windows mobile devices. Premium features found in these apps are now available to Illinois State faculty and staff for free as part of the Office 365 software suite. This workshop will get you started working with the mobile versions of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote. You will also explore OneDrive, Microsoft’s cloud-based storage, also free for members of the campus community. Learn how to share documents through OneDrive and discuss how this service within the boundaries of Illinois State data security policies and FERPA. Bring your smartphone or tablet with you to get the most out of this workshop. Registration is required.

Select Survey

Get a basic understanding of Select Survey, an online survey and form development tool. You will learn how to quickly and easily create web-based surveys from your web browser. This survey software allows you to easily deploy surveys and view real-time results as responses are received. This workshop is open to faculty, administrators, and staff only. Registration is required.

ReggieNet: Migrating Content from Modules to Lesson Builder
Tuesday, September 8 • 2–3 p.m.

This workshop will teach you the basics of the Lesson Builder tool in ReggieNet, which will replace the Modules tool for classes starting in the spring of 2016. Learn how to copy content from the Modules tool over to the Lesson Builder tool. Discover how to design lessons that require students to complete prerequisites before they can proceed to the next stage. It is easy to integrate multimedia content with this tool. Registration is required.

Excel: Level 2
Wednesday, September 9 • 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

This course continues the basics of creating and modifying charts that began in Excel: Level 1. Also explore useful tools like filtering, which make viewing data accessible at a glance, and pivot tables to summarize values. Registration is required.

Early-Career Faculty Development Circle
Wednesday, September 9 • 12–1 p.m.
Thursday, September 10 • 12–1 p.m.

This development circle offers a combination of professional development and peer support to faculty members in their first three years of service at Illinois State. Topics are based on chapters in the award-winning book, What the Best College Teachers Do (Harvard UP, 2004) by Ken Bain. Participants will receive a copy of the book and an executive summary of each chapter. Meetings are on select Wednesdays or Thursdays from noon to 1:00 p.m. Join us either day. Attend as many as you can during the semester, but don’t worry if you can’t attend all! Sessions are held in the Resource Commons at CTLT’s facility at 301 S. Main Street. No registration is necessary.

ReggieNet: Discussion Tool
Wednesday, September 9 • 1–4 p.m.

Maximize your ability to communicate with students through the Discussion Tool. Learn how to have ReggieNet automatically create discussion groups. You’ll also see how to grade discussions by forum, topic or message. Prerequisite: Introduction to ReggieNet. Registration is required.

SoftChalk Create
Thursday, September 10 • 1–4 p.m.

Looking for a creative, new way to engage students? SoftChalk can help! This program lets you easily create engaging, interactive web lessons. You will learn to create interactive learning games such as customizable flashcards, image labeling, matching games, crosswords and more. SoftChalk Lessons are easily imported into ReggieNet. Registration is required.
