Illinois State University’s Study Abroad office has joined Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms Universitat Bonn in offering a summer study abroad opportunity to Bonn, Germany, centered in a location that is considered one of the leaders in renewable energy efforts.

This program will be taught in conjunction with Northwestern University and Arcadia University to offer a monthlong summer program focused on Global Energy Policy. This program is open to any majors on campus who have an interest in renewable energy. The program is taught entirely in English and will include guest lectures, visits to nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) as well as site visits to research institutions and renewable energy sites.

The Illinois State Department of Geography-Geology has approved this three-credit course to count as an elective for both environmental science and geography minors.
