On Monday, October 26, Illinois State University will rise to Take Back the Night.

Supported by the student organization Feminist Led Activist Movement to Empower (F.L.A.M.E.) and the Women’s and Gender Studies Program, the rally will begin at 6 p.m. in the Bone Student Center, Old Main Room.

The annual event is designed to address sexual assault and domestic violence, and to give voice to survivors. Survivors and speakers will share their stories and experiences before heading outside to march through the campus and the community. The march concludes with a candlelight vigil. A gender-neutral safe space and a female-friendly safe space for discussion will be open to participants after the candlelight vigil.

Note: The evening will include mature content.
