Congratulations to David Anderson, who has been selected as the 2015-16 recipient of the Stan and Sandy Rives Excellence in Undergraduate Education Award.  The award recognizes a faculty member for her/his extraordinary contributions to the undergraduate educational experience, specifically the first-year experience.

For many years Anderson directed The Mind Project, a multi-million dollar federally-funded project that provided both high school students and undergraduates with a dynamic hands-on education in cognitive science, as well as serving as a highly valuable educational resource.

The Mind Project won a number of awards over the years and has been recognized as a “Program of Excellence” by the College of Arts and Sciences at Illinois State.  It is entirely fitting that Anderson personally receive recognition for the extraordinary contribution that he has made to undergraduate education.

As the recipient of this award David will be publicly recognized at the Founders Day celebration to be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016.

Many, many congratulations to David.
