Illinois State’s University Marketing and Communications (UMC) team picked up seven honors in the 2015 Pride of CASE V competition for creative work done for partners across campus.

Among the winners were the illustrated Reggie Redbird children’s book and an online video storytelling project. Illinois State’s seven honors were the third-most among CASE V members in communications and design categories, behind only University of Michigan(14) and Indiana University(8).

UMC’s award-winning design, editorial, and multimedia work supported several university initiatives, including the Office of Admissions recruiting, Alumni Relations, Thomas Metcalf School, and the College of Applied Science and Technology, among others.

“Once again we are very pleased to see that Illinois State’s communications work is taking its rightful place among that of the Midwest’s top universities,” said Brian Beam, executive director of UMC. “In addition to the multiple gold awards in design categories, we are very proud of our editorial and multimedia entries winning in the Excellence in Feature Writing and Online Innovation categories. Congratulations to our campus partners. Without the teamwork of communications professionals across campus many of these awards would not have been possible.”
