Erin Durban-Albrecht, ANT, won the National Women’s Studies Association’s First Book Prize for 2015 for her manuscript, Postcolonial Homophobia: United States Imperialism in Haiti and the Transnational Circulation of Antigay Sexual Politics.

Laurel Perez, ENG, published “Lack” and “Ending As Beginning” in Tuck Magazine.

Hyun-Sook Kang, ENG, published “Teacher candidates’ perceptions of non-native English-speaking teacher educators in a TESOL Program: ‘Is there a language barrier compensation?’ in the TESOL Journal.

Readings and Exhibitions
Irene Taylor, ENG, gave a reading of “Mothers 1,”  “Mothers 2” for the opening ceremony of the Barn Quilt Heritage Trail—McLean County.

Cynthia Kukla’s, ART, solo exhibition, Arcadia, was displayed at the Korean Cultural Center of Chicago, January 14-28. The 35 paintings in the exhibition were made in Greece at ancient sites and inspired by the myths of the ancient Mediterranean.
