Illinois State University’s College of Fine Arts will host an interdisciplinary artists meet-up starting at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, February 6, in the Center for the Visual Arts room 110. The format will be similar to “speed dating” where each participant has three minutes to share their artistic visions and capabilities with other artists.

The event will also give artists an opportunity to mingle and continue conversation over a complimentary lunch. All participants must RSVP by Thursday, February 4 to john.walker@IllinoisState.edu, or (309) 438-2424. The event is open to student artists regardless of academic major.

The artists meet-up gives students a chance to meet other student artists from various disciplines including visual arts, theatre, music, dance, film, and other media. Students will be able to share their artistic passions with fellow artists who may be willing to collaborate on projects.

The meet-up event is affiliated with the Charleen R. Crean Collaborative Arts Awards and Festival. More information is available online.
