The Career Center has gone mobile! This summer the Illinois State University App became available to all Redbirds and fans as the latest push toward making Illinois State online resources mobile friendly.

Available for free from the App Store or Google Play Store, users who download the Illinois State App simply need to click on the Career Center Guide to get access to a variety of information from the Career Center. From their phone, users can view information about upcoming career fairs, such as what companies are registered to attend, how to prepare for the fair, and a map of the fair layout. When users click on the name of each attending company, they will be able to read a short company description, a link to the company’s website, what positions the company is seeking to hire, and what majors the company is interested in recruiting.

In addition to the career fair information, students can view a list of helpful tips they need to complete each year that will help them to be successful for their job search before graduating, and a list of all of the Career Center’s upcoming programs, events and career fairs.

“The Career Center is very excited to be able to use the Illinois State University App to help our students be successful,” said Career Center Assistant Director for Marketing and Events Susan Whitsitt. “With the Career Center Guide, students can access their phones to get valuable information that will not only help them be successful on campus and at career fairs, but will also serve as a valuable educational tool to help them succeed in all aspects of their career preparation.”
