Illinois State University senior Vlora Ibishi is this month’s student spotlight.

Ibishi is a political science major from Rossville, and she has been involved with the Dean of Students Office since her freshman year at Illinois State. She has been involved with many activities through the Dean of Students Office including Alternative Breaks, LeaderShape, and serving as president of Alpha Phi Omega.

“Being involved allows you to gain experience, and once you get involved it opens up doors that help you grow as a person,” said Ibishi.

Ibishi believes that taking on a leadership role within the Dean of Students Office has helped her get out of her comfort zone and learn how to adapt to new situations.

Ibishi describes herself as a caring person who enjoys talking to everyone involved in her organizations and wants to help other students as much as she can. Ibishi says that because she has been so involved with the Dean of Students Office, she has made valuable friendships and memories that she will remember forever.
