Carol Stein, the Association of Women Geoscientists Distinguished Lecturer at the University of Illinois-Chicago, will present “Tectonic Development of the Lake Superior Rift” at 3 p.m. Friday, February 12, the Felmley Hall of Science Annex, room 133.

Stein studies plate tectonics, and recently helped delve into the billion-year-old rift that cleaved North America. Read more about her work in an article in Nature.
