The annual fundraising event showcases performances from multiple professional drag queens, kings, and royalty as well as student performers. The show will be hosted by famed drag queen Sharon ShareAlike, and featuring special guest from RuPaul’s Drag Race, Latrice Royale.
Listen live for Sharon and Fox Sharealike on WBNQ on the morning of March 25 at 101.5 FM.
General admission for the Charity Drag Show is $7 and tickets can be purchased at the Braden Box Office in the Bone Student Center. Admission is free for Illinois State students, with a recommended $5 donation at the door.
Proceeds of the event will be donated to Project Oz, an agency that works with more than 200 youth who are experiencing homelessness. The organization teaches life skills, helps homeless young people obtain and maintain employment, and assists them in furthering their education. The proceeds donated will help develop LGBTQ+ specific programs as well as increase their ability to be more receptive to the needs of members in the LGBTQ+ community.
The annual Charity Drag Show is sponsored by Pride, Illinois State University’s only lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) registered student organization.
