The original theatrical production The Princess-Knight will be presented April 1, 2, 8, 15, and 22, at Illinois State University. The show, which is suitable for audiences of all ages, tells the story of a princess who decides to make her own way and become a knight.

Show dates and times are 2 p.m. April 1 and 2, in Centennial West, room 202, and 12:30 p.m. April 8, 15, and 22, in the Illinois State University Planetarium. All shows are free of charge.

The Princess-Knight, which includes audience interaction and magic, deals with the issue of bullying, and learning to stand up for yourself. The show will be staged by Illinois State theatre students who are members of ISTOP (Illinois State Outreach Program), a theatre-related registered student organization.

The Princess-Knight was written by Garrett Douglas and directed by Shannon Doering. Cast members include Annie Burton as Princess Gumption, Jack VanBoven as Prince Flocculent, Ryan Engelman as Sir Bluster, Sarah Ford as Exaggerananimous, and Abbie Brenner as Gargantuan Immense.
