The College of Business at Illinois State University is ranked 75th nationally in the 2016 Bloomberg Businessweek Best Undergraduate Business Schools rankings, up 20 points from their previous ranking in 2014. This ranking marks the sixth time in a row that the College of Business has been ranked by Bloomberg Businessweek. Illinois State is the second highest ranked public university in Illinois.

Bloomberg Businessweek magazine surveys both students and employers to arrive at the rankings, and focuses on how well the programs prepare their graduates for job success. The overall academic quality of undergraduate programs is assessed through employer and student surveys, starting salary, and the availability of internships to students.

“The College of Business is very pleased to again be recognized as one of the top business schools in the U.S. This year’s ranking, up 20 places from the previous ranking, is a strong statement on the quality of business education in the college as viewed by our students and employers,” said College of Business Interim Dean Gerry McKean. “The ranking validates the College’s strong business curricula that combines active learning in the classroom with a variety of experiential learning activities. The credit for this recognition goes to our dedicated faculty and staff, and our engaged students.”
