  • Erika Hunt, Lisa Hood, Michelle Lamboley (Unit 5) and Jaclyn Vasquez (Chicago Public Schools) presented a workshop, “Scaling Systems of Community Schools by Integrating the Community School Model Into a Statewide Birth to Grade 3 Initiative in Illinois,” at the 2016 Community Schools National Forum.
  • Erika Hunt presented on a panel with Michelle Young (UCEA) and Glenn Pethel (Gwinnett County School District), and Emma Brown (Washington Post) as the moderator on “Preparing Principals for Leadership” at the 69th Education Writers Association National Seminar.
  • On April 11, Lisa Hood, Sarai Coba R. (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign), Gabriela Garcia (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign), Pamela Rosa (Rosa Consulting), and Erika Hunt presented a paper, “A Study of the Danielson Framework for Teaching for Evaluating Early Childhood Teachers,” at the annual conference of the American Education Research Association in Washington, D.C.
  • On April 30, Lisa Hood was to present a workshop titled “Teacher Evaluation in Early Childhood Classrooms: Using the Danielson Framework for Observing and Growing Teacher Practice” to the 2016 Washington P–3 Executive Leadership Certificate Program at the University of Washington.
