Alumni return for International Business Day events

Blaine Curcio speaks in front of group

International Business Day keynote speaker Blaine Curcio ’11 (NSR Japan) spoke about “Global Citizenry, How to Attain It, and Why You Should Care."

Illinois State University’s international business program celebrated 35 years of awarding degrees and its more than 1,000 alumni at several events held March 31–April 1, 2016.

Several international business (IB) graduates returned for a dinner hosted by the IB Club’s executive board March 31. In addition to networking and great conversation, Iris and Carson Varner were honored for investing so much to launch the international business program and for their continued support.

IB Day on April 1 began with coffee-and-donut networking. Later a panel of four IB alumni spoke about global citizenship and their careers, including Katherine Priore ’07 (Avalon Risk Management), Laura Blacklock ’87 (The Channel Group), John Crouch ’00 (Bank of America), and Matthew Eickhoff ’03 (Caterpillar).

After the panel, keynote speaker Blaine Curcio ’11 (NSR Japan) spoke about “Global Citizenry, How to Attain It, and Why You Should Care.”

The day concluded with lunchtime networking between students and alumni.
