Roger Anderson, BIO emeritus, presented the oral paper “Do extreme stochastic climate events affect the density of the invasive garlic mustard (Alliaria petiolata) and disrupt the years of alternating abundance of first and second year plants?” The presentation was given at the Annual Meeting of the Midwest Great Lakes Chapter of the Society for Ecological Restoration at Indiana University-Bloomington.
Tom Marko, MUS, presented a guest recital of his compositions along with a masterclass on composing for small jazz ensembles at Washington State University in March.
Adriana Ransom, MUS, presented “Prepare and Conquer: Supplementary Etudes for the Intermediate Cello Concertos” at the 2016 American String Teachers Association (ASTA) National Conference, held in Tampa, Florida. She also created a poster presentation highlighting the ISU String Project for the National String Project Consortium (NSPC) Best Practices sessions and presented a segment on building community at the NSPC pre-conference workshop.
