On Tuesday, April 19, the Metcalf Orffcats will perform at 6:30 p.m. in Hayden Auditorium. The Orffcats are a jazz group who learn through Orff techniques. The concert will also serve as a farewell to co-director Donna Zawatski who will retire in May.

Both concerts are free and open to the public.

Zawatski is the general music teacher at Metcalf, who will retire after more than two decades teaching music at Metcalf. “We founded the Orffcats in 2004, and they have performed at major music conferences and at the American Jazz Museum in Kansas City,” said Professor of Music Education Kim McCord. “We hope people can join us for our last concert with Donna.”
