poster for Spring Dance Concert 2016 Performances of Dance Theatre’s Spring Dance Concert will be at 7:30 p.m. April 21, 22, and 23, and at 2 p.m. April 23, in Westhoff Theatre in the Centennial East building.

The Spring Dance Concert will feature works by two guest artists in addition to new works by Illinois State University dance faculty members Greg Merriman, Sara Semonis, and Darby Wilde. This eclectic concert includes Unaccounted Variance, a new work choreographed by Illinois State alumnus Christopher Marosi. This quartet, to the music of Apparat, is inspired by Marosi’s research in the field of psychology. Michael Richman, a dancer choreographer from New York City, is another guest artist whose work will be featured in the concert. Using a comical approach, his work for nine dancers is set to the music of Ludwig Van Beethoven.

Tickets for the performances are $12 for adults and $10 for students, seniors, and Illinois State faculty and staff. Tickets can be purchased at the College of Fine Arts Box Office, located in the Center for the Performing Arts, by phone at (309) 438-2535, or online through ticketmaster.com.
