The Illinois State University Alumni Association, Department of Agriculture, and Office of the Provost/Summer Session would like you to bring your family out to a CornBelters baseball game this summer.

Join fellow alumni, friends, faculty, summer session students, Reggie Redbird, and Corny for fun and socializing.

Pregame cookout

When: 4:30–6 p.m. Thursday, June 30
Where: Illinois State’s Horticulture Center, Raab Road in Normal

Enjoy the pregame cookout at the Horticulture Center, located directly across from the Corn Crib. The event fee of $5 includes a burger/hot dog/veggie burger, chips, cookies, ice cream, and beverage. Each guest will receive one drink ticket and one ice cream ticket with each paid registration. A cash bar will also be available.

CornBelters game

When: 6:35 p.m. Thursday, June 30
Where: Corn Crib, Raab Road

The CornBelters will take on the Traverse City Beach Bums at the Corn Crib. Game tickets are $10 per person. The National Anthem will be performed by Illinois State student soloist Kelsie Dunakey, a senior interpersonal communication major. The first pitch will be thrown by agriculture alum Dan Kelley ’70. Kelley is a tremendous supporter of the Department of Agriculture and Illinois State University. He helped organize the Illinois State Agriculture Alumni Association, and served as a director and president of the Illinois State Alumni Association and as a member of the College of Applied Science and Technology (CAST) advisory board. He has also been inducted into the CAST Hall of Fame and recently received the 2016 Alumni Achievement Award.

Those interested in attending the game must register by Sunday, June 26.  Those interested in attending the cookout must register by Monday, June 27 by visiting Alumni.IllinoisState.edu/CornBelters or by calling Alumni Relations at (309) 438-2586 or (800) 366-4478. For game tickets purchased after June 26, please call the CornBelters at (309) 451-3433 and mention being seated in the Illinois State alumni section. These tickets can then be picked up from the Corn Crib Will Call window the night of the game.
