The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTLT) and the Office of International Studies and Programs will be co-hosting a workshop on “Working with International Students” on June 14 as part of the CTLT Summer Institute.

One of the core values of Educating Illinois is diversity and the creation of an inclusive environment on campus. Perhaps you have heard recent speeches from President Larry Dietz in which he mentions internationalization and the hope to bring more international students to Illinois State’s campus. Are you prepared to work with these students successfully?

The morning session will focus on international student concerns and related topics, and will be open to all faculty and staff. We then invite faculty to stay for the afternoon for a session on classroom pedagogy.

The course will include an international student panel and the opportunity to feel what the experience of an international student on campus is really like.

Stipends for participation are available for qualifying faculty members. Lunch is included for all participants. Registration links can be found below:
