Illinois State University senior Alita Kendrick graduated in May 2016, along with 14 other philosophy majors.

Kendrick sat down to answer a couple of questions from the Department of Philosophy:

What have you enjoyed most about being a philosophy major at Illinois State?

The ability to voice my opinions in an open environment.

If you had to take one philosophy book or article to a desert island, which would it be?

Nicomachean Ethics by Aristotle.

Do your friends and family know that you study philosophy?

Friends, yes. Immediate family, yes.

What other majors did you consider?

I was a biology major for my first two years of college.

What are you plans after graduation?

I plan to work in higher education in the alumni relations and development department.
