Four events for education alumni in the summer/fall 2016
Illinois State is proud to call more than one in seven teachers in Illinois Redbirds. The College of Education strives to provide this community with as many opportunities as possible to reconnect with the University and advance in their profession. The following four events are open to education alumni during the summer and fall of 2016.
The New Teacher Conference #NTConISU
The New Teacher Conference is a dynamic professional development opportunity for all Illinois State alumni completing their first or second year of teaching. Attendees will reconnect with past professors, gain practical advice, and return to their classrooms with new ideas. Professional development hours will be offered. Alumni will also receive a free classroom supplies kit. Attendance is just $20.

The Education Showcase #RedbirdFamily
The Education Showcase is designed for alumni and current students to speak directly with representatives from the College of Education’s undergraduate and graduate-level programs. The event takes place during Illinois State’s Family Weekend celebration.

Return to your alma mater this fall for a day of learning that’s on the cutting edge! T21CON is a free professional development opportunity delivering skills and knowledge from experts on the use of technology to enhance classroom instruction. Professional development hours will be offered to practicing educators.

College of Education Homecoming Tailgate Tent
Help the College of Education #BackTheBirds against the Youngstown State Penguins at the Homecoming Tailgate Tent. Enjoy some free grub, giveaways, and reconnect with fellow alumni and education faculty and staff.
