Illinois State University Photographer Lyndsie Schlink ’04 took home three awards from the University Photographers’ Association of America (UPAA) during its awards banquet June 17.

Schlink’s work was recognized in the UPAA’s annual publications competition:

  • First place for Specialty Books for Illinois State’s new Traditions book
  • Second place for Publication Covers for Redbird Scholar magazine’s first two issues
  • Third place for Viewbook for the Office of Admissions publication

Schlink joined University Marketing and Communications as University photographer in 2007. She previously worked as a photojournalist for the Decatur Herald & Review and The Pantagraph.

The University Photographers’ Association of America is an international organization of college and university photographers concerned with the application and practice of photography as it relates to the higher education setting. The awards banquet was held at the conclusion of this year’s weeklong annual symposium at Austin Peay State University in Tennessee.
