As the school year comes to a close, the Thomas Metcalf School Student Council, the Library, and the Book Bike would like to thank everyone for their generosity in donating almost 2,000 books in this year’s book drive. The Normal CornBelters were so impressed with the efforts and generosity that they are sponsoring a Metcalf Night at the Corn Crib on Tuesday, June 21. Doors open at 5:35 p.m., and the game begins at 6:35 p.m.

Each student has received a voucher for two FREE bleacher seats that can be used at the game or any other Tuesday night CornBelters home game this summer. These vouchers can be redeemed the night of the game. There will be free family activities that night followed by a chance to run the bases after the game. This will be a special night full of fun for the whole Metcalf family.

Another exciting and special part of Metcalf Night at the Corn Crib  is the first pitch ceremony. This involves one student throwing out the first pitch. If your family plans on attending and would like a chance for your son or daughter to throw out the first pitch, please submit this form by 11:59 p.m. on June 15. You will need to submit the form for each of your children. The winner will be contacted via email on Thursday, June 16.

If you have any questions about Metcalf Night at the Corn Crib or the first pitch, please contact Mr. Goveia at aegovei@IllinoisState.edu or  (309) 438-2485.
