Homecoming 2016, A Normal Tradition celebrates the many traditions and memories made throughout campus as well as within the Town of Normal. The perfect Homecoming tradition for Redbirds to attend that combines the beauty of Illinois State campus and the Town of Normal is the annual Town and Gown 5K and 1-Mile Fun/Run Walk on Saturday, October 8.

Start Homecoming Saturday off at 8 a.m. with a run that takes off at the Student Fitness Center and works its way down College Avenue, through Uptown Normal, and into the Quad. One water stop will be set on the course, and refreshments will be available afterward for all run/walk participants.

This year’s early bird registration cost is $15 for those who register before September 15. After the 15th, the fee will increase to $20. Online registration is available until 4:30 p.m. October 5. Once online registration closes, participants may register in person at the Alumni Center. The cost for those interested in the 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk is $10.

Participants who register before September 15 will receive a short-sleeve, Dri-Fit shirt and a goodie bag.
