Frauds and pirates in Special Collections topic of U-Club

Associate Professor Maureen Brunsdale and Mark Schmitt of Milner Library’s Special Collections will present “Fine Frauds: Pirate Editions and Strange Anomalies from the Vault of Special Collections” at the University Club meeting on Friday, September 23.

The meeting will begin at 3:30 p.m. in the Faculty/Staff Commons of the Bone Student Center, with the talk commencing at 4:30 p.m.

The duo will showcase curiosities from Special Collections in Milner Library. Pirate editions from the literary black-market, books defaced by public personas, and other such oddities will be discussed.

All faculty, staff, annuitants, and guests are welcome to attend. Additional information about U-Club events and activities can be found on the University Club website. Continued program support is provided by the Office of the Provost and the Office of the President.
