The Illinois State University Planetarium will offer the children’s show “Moles: What Is Out There?” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, September 9, and at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, September 10.  This is a single weekend event and will not be offered again.

Moles revolves around a young mole named Plato, who lives deep underground in a dark burrow full of mystery and surprises. Fascinated by the light that penetrates the entrance to his home, Plato decides to explore the outside world with his best friends Alfa, Beta and Gamma, under the watchful eye of a professor named Socrates. Following the showing of Moles, Planetarium staff will give a presentation on the current evening sky, including the bright stars, constellations, and planets visible from Central Illinois.

Admission to the Illinois State University Planetarium is $4 for adults, $3 for children ages 5-12 and seniors, and $2 for children ages 3-4. For more information, please call the Planetarium’s Skyline at (309) 438-5007 or visit the Planetarium’s website.
