ISU Faculty String Quartet to perform at U-Club

The ISU Faculty String Quartet will perform works by Beethoven and Prokofiev at the University Club (U-Club) on Friday, October 21, in the Faculty/Staff Commons of the Bone Student Center.

The meeting will begin at 3:30 p.m., with the performance at 4:15 p.m.

Faculty members Sarah Gentry, violin; Kate Lewis, viola; and Adriana Ransom, cello; will be joined by graduate student Kelsey Klopfenstien, violin. Musicology professor Allison Alcorn will discuss the string quartet as a genre and its evolution over the centuries.

All faculty, staff, annuitants, and guests are welcome. Additional information about University Club events and activities can be found on the website. Continued program support is provided by the Office of the Provost and the Office of the President.
