Whitney Cross, the Chicago Community Engagement Fellow for the U.S. Fund for United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), will give two presentations at Illinois State University, talking about the impact of armed conflict on the children and families living in areas affected by violence.

The presentations will be at 2 p.m. and again at 3:35 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, in room 145 of the Center for Visual Arts. Cross will evaluate the humanitarian response by UNICEF and its partners. The U.S. Fund for UNICEF supports UNICEF’s work, and other efforts in support of the world’s children, through fundraising, advocacy, and education in the United States.

The event is sponsored by the American Democracy Project (ADP). For additional information, contact the ADP at AmericanDemocracy@IllinoisState.edu.
