military-friendly-school-seal-2017Illinois State University has once again earned the Military Friendly School designation from Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs, STEM Jobs SM, and Military Spouse. The 2017 Military Friendly Schools list recognizes universities, colleges, and trade schools in the country that support the educational pursuits of veterans.

Criteria for inclusion in the Military Friendly Schools list includes a strong commitment to recruiting, retaining, and providing financial, academic, and social services to student veterans.

Institutions earning the Military Friendly School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from Victory Media’s proprietary survey.

Illinois State provides student veterans with a variety of academic, advisement, and financial support services. The Veterans and Military Services office serves as the first point of contact for student veterans. The office assists with Veterans Administration (VA) education benefits, helps student veterans transition into life on campus, and provides referrals to other veteran services within the community.
