On December 10, Star Wars characters will be on the concourse prior to the men’s basketball game against UT-Martin to take pictures with fans.

This is one of four games that offer a family ticket option of four upper bowl tickets and four hot dog meal vouchers, including a hot dog, chips, small soda, for $40. Additional tickets including a meal voucher can be added for $10 each and can be ordered here.

There will also be a WJBC Brotherhood Tree toy drive. Fans are invited to bring a new, unwrapped present to donate to families in McLean County this holiday season. Toys will be distributed to children up to 18 years of age. Individuals who bring a present to the game will receive a Star Wars coozie while supplies last. This year is the 48th year of the WJBC Brotherhood Tree. Last year, over 1,600 families had a better holiday season because of the WJBC Brotherhood Tree. Collection boxes will be at each entrance to Redbird Arena on game day.

Illinois State Athletics is excited to recognize a two-time Illinois State University College of Education alum, Dan Zehr on Star Wars Day. Zehr is a high school English teacher at Washington High School in Washington, Illinois that uses Star Wars to help facilitate discussion and understanding of English and Literature. He is also a co-host and senior writer for the “Coffee with Kenobi” Star Wars podcast and a blog contributor to StarWars.com.

ISU will tip off the game at 2 p.m. and doors open 1 p.m. Tickets to all men’s basketball games and other ISU athletic events can be purchased at goredbirds.com/tickets.
