Mennonite College of Nursing at Illinois State University has once again been recognized as having one of the Best Online Nursing Programs according to U.S. News & World Report.

U.S. News & World Report defines a nursing-distance education program as a program for which all required nonclinical courses can be completed via distance-education courses that incorporate Internet-based learning technologies. Mennonite College of Nursing offers an online master’s degree in nursing systems administration and an online doctoral degree in nursing practice.

“Mennonite College of Nursing has a long history of producing high-quality nurse leaders and it is great to see that our programs are being recognized at a national level for excellence in nursing education at all levels,” said Judy Neubrander, dean of Mennonite College of Nursing.

Schools were ranked in five general categories; including student engagement, faculty credentials and training, peer reputation, student services and technology, and admissions selectivity.

The magazine also included Illinois State in its 2017 ranking of Best Online Bachelor’s Programs. Illinois State offers an online program for registered nurses to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing through Mennonite College of Nursing, and online health information management and medical laboratory science sequences through the Department of Health Sciences. Both of the sequences lead to a Bachelor of Science and eligibility to sit for certification in the respective fields.
