ProfessorĀ Borinara Park of the Quality Management Analytics (QMA) Program of the Department of Technology conducted a half-day workshop on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, in the College of Business Building for the members of the Central Illinois Chapter of the Institute of the Internal Auditors (CIC IIA).

The event was hosted by the Katie School of Insurance as a way of disseminating the analytics applications and practices suitable for the internal auditing operations. The main focus of the workshop was how the analytics could be utilized to investigate the existing processes for the conformance issues and system inefficiency problems. A few collaboration opportunities between the QMA program and the CIC IIA were presented and discussed as well. The CIC IIA was founded in 1960 to serve internal auditors in three major metropolitan areas in Central Illinois (Peoria, Bloomington/Normal, and Decatur) to promote and exchange internal auditing professional practices.
