The following are the dates for the spring 2017 semester:

  • Tuesday, February 7
  • Tuesday, March 7
  • Tuesday, April 4
  • Tuesday, May 2

M.E.N. is an acronym to impress that MCN Men are Excellent Nurses. Founded by Instructional Assistant Professor Dave Jansen, this is a focus group for men and the profession of nursing.

“During past meetings, we have explored the history of men in nursing, and invoke discussion about clinical and social issues men encounter as a minority in the profession,” said Jansen.

“The group provides an open discussion of shared experiences plus nursing students’ thoughts of how they see men in nursing now and in the future,” he added. “I encourage alumni, faculty and students to attend these meetings. This group has been a positive opportunity for networking.”

Updates on topics and special guest speakers will be on the M.E.N. in Nursing website.
