image from the poster for the WOmen's and Gender Studies SymposiumUndergraduate and graduate students from all disciplines are invited to submit papers and detailed descriptions of performance pieces for the 22nd annual Women’s and Gender Studies Symposium.

Papers and presentations are welcome on any topic related to the study of women and/or gender and its interaction with race, sexuality, class/caste, and colonizing. Students must have a faculty sponsor.

The deadline for submission is Friday, March 17. Submission can be made by email to jlande4@ilstu.edu.

Papers and descriptions should have a cover sheet with the following information:

  • Title of the paper or presentation
  • Name, address phone number, and email address.
  • Sponsoring faculty member, and if relevant, the course for which the paper or developed presentation is the result.

The 22nd annual Women’s and Gender Studies Symposium will be April 14, with keynote speaker Mariana Ortega speaking at 1 p.m. Find out more about Ortega’s talk here.
