Bibek Adhikari, ECO, has won the Irving Fisher Award from Omicron Delta Epsilon, an international honors society for economics.

Presentations
Ani Yazedjian, FCS, participated in a panel titled, A chair’s perspective on shifting cultural boundaries, at the annual meeting of the Association of American Colleges and Universities in San Francisco, California.

Laurel Perez, ENG, presented “How to Be a Working Class Hero in the Creative Writing Classroom: An Exploration of a Feminist Working Class Activist Pedagogy,” for the panel “The Body in Words: Teaching Creative Techniques in Sound Symbolism, Sexuality, Silences, and the Feminist Working Class” at the Association of Writers and Writing Programs Conference in Washington, D.C.

Publications
Chris Breu, ENG, published “After the Event: Toward a Post-Capitalist Conception of Structure and Habit” in The Comparatist 40. He also authored “Work and Death in the Global City: Natsuo Kirino’s Out as Neoliberal Noir” for Globalization and the State in Contemporary Crime Fiction: A World of Crime, and edited a special section on “Materialisms” in Symplokē: A Journal for the Intermingling of Literary, Cultural, and Theoretical Scholarship.
