Illinois State University’s Mennonite College of Nursing has been ranked as one of the Best Graduate Schools by U.S. News & World Report.

“It is an honor for Illinois State University Mennonite College of Nursing to be ranked in U.S. News & World Report as one of the Best Graduate Schools for 2018”, said Judy Neubrander, dean of MCN. “MCN graduate students have opportunities to work with nationally recognized nurse scientist faculty on their research, which helps prepare them to be exceptional nurse leaders.”

Additionally, the college received rankings for their master’s program and their online Doctorate of Nursing Practice program.

“Our master’s programs include the Family Nurse Practitioner, Post-master’s FNP Certificate, and Online Nursing Systems Administration,” said Neubrander. “We are also thrilled the Online Doctor of Nursing Practice was ranked.”

Ranking methodology includes research activity, faculty credentials, the percentage of faculty members with important achievements, and faculty participation in nursing practice. Other considerations included undergraduate grade-point average, class size, and peer assessment score.
