The Illinois State University Chamber Choir, Madrigal Singers and Concert Choir will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 13, in the University’s Center for the Performing Arts Concert Hall. Tickets are $10 for adult general admission, $8 for faculty/staff, and $6 for students and seniors. Tickets may be purchased in advance and pre-concert at the CPA Box Office.

The choirs will present contemporary American pieces on the theme of spring, melodies from 17th century Germany, the organ tune by 19th century composer Johannes Brahms, and contemporary compositions on Shakespeare’s works by modern composers, among other performances. The event will end with the Concert Choir’s performance of The Island Song based on the musical culture of Okinawa, Japan.
