The winner of the 2017 Clarence W. Sorensen Distinguished Dissertation Award is Lynda M. Kasky-Hernandez for her dissertation “Attachment and Disclosure to Mothers: Predictors of Adjustment During the College Transition.”

The dissertation committee included:  Jeffrey Kahn (chair) from the Department of Psychology,  Marla Reese-Weber from the College of Arts and Sciences, Susan Sprecher from the Department of Sociology/ Anthropology, and Mark Swerdlik from the Department of Psychology.

The annual Sorensen Distinguished Dissertation Award is sponsored by the Graduate School of Illinois State University.
