Illinois State University School of Music presents An Evening of Opera Scenes at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 27  in the Kemp Recital Hall, Centennial East. The concert is free and open to the public.

Students from the Opera Practicum will perform a variety of scenes from standard operatic repertoire. Directed by Kathryn Leemhuis and conducted by Johannes Krohn, the program includes Verdi’s La Traviata, Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel, Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, Offenbach’s Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors, Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte, and Bernstein’s Candid
