Sick Leave Bank open enrollment, April 19-28
Human Resources, Benefit Services announces open enrollment for the University Sick Leave Bank (SLB) program from April 19-28.
Although traditionally held at the same time as Benefit Choice (open enrollment for the State-sponsored insurance programs) beginning this year, Sick Leave Bank enrollment will be held prior to Benefit Choice. This is in response to the decision by the State to move to an online enrollment system, separate and distinct from the University’s iPeople system.
The move to an earlier April date will not impact eligibility for enrollment as donations are not taken until the start of the new fiscal year (July 1). In order to participate in the Sick Leave Bank, employees must have a balance of at least five (5) days of earned sick leave after the 1-day donation is made (in July). Employees whose sick leave balance is insufficient to meet this requirement will not be eligible to participate in the SLB.
