At the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan, T.Y. Wang, professor of Politics and Government, visited the country as part of a delegation from June 18–23.
The delegation consisted of seven Taiwanese-American political scientists from the United States, who visited Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-Wen, and representatives of the National Security Council, the Mainland Affairs Council, the Ministry of Economics, and the major political parties of the country.
Discussion topics surrounded U.S.-Taiwan relations, Taiwan-China relations, and Taipei’s New Southward Policy, with members of the delegation providing policy recommendations.
