“Ciao! Starting in August 2017, I will be an instructor of first- and second-year Italian at Illinois State. I found my passion for teaching Italian language and culture at the University of Bologna, where I completed my master’s degree, and developed it further at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where I am currently completing my Ph.D. in Italian studies.

My fascination with the rich languages and cultures of Italy and the Mediterranean inspired my doctoral research on ethnic diversity and gender studies. As a teacher of Italian, I aim to make my students aware of the linguistic and cultural opportunities offered by foreign language acquisition. Language classes are truly the gateway to a transformative  cultural experience!”
