Honors
T.Y. Wang, POL, was part of a delegation invited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China, Taiwan. The delegation consisted of seven Taiwanese-American political scientists from the United States, who visited Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-Wen, and representatives of the National Security Council, the Mainland Affairs Council, the Ministry of Economics, and major political parties of the country. Wang also co-authored a paper titled “Taiwan Citizens’ Views of China: What are the Effects of Cross-Strait Contacts?” for the Journal of East Asian Studies.

Illinois State University Photographer Lyndsie Schlink took home two awards from the University Photographers’ Association of America during its awards banquet in June.

Liv Stone, ANT, published “Romper el cerco: An ethnography of transnational collaborative film” in Adjusting the lens: Community and collaborative video in Mexico by the University of Pittsburgh Press.

Marjorie Jones, CHE, and graduate student Benjamin Dorsey, CHE, were invited to co-write a book chapter titled “Antioxidant Capacity, Immune Response, Anti-inflammatory Activity, and Potential Pharmaceutical Applications of By-Products” for the Handbook of Coffee Processing By-Products: Sustainable Applications with Elsevier-Academic Press.
