The Illinois State University Horticulture Center will hold a faculty and staff open house from 4-6 p.m. Friday, August 25. The center is located off Raab Road in Normal.

The event will enable guests to explore the center and the new outdoor classroom. Visitors can interact with representatives from Fell Arboretum, George S. Vasey Herbarium, the Biological Sciences Collection Greenhouse at Felmley Science Annex, the Horticulture Center, and with members from Illinois State’s Office of Sustainability.

The center intends to help the University’s faculty and students in their research and studies, with the many assets the University’s botanical and horticultural gardens possess. Attendees will also learn how the University’s faculty and students have been utilizing the center’s valuable resources. Wine and light refreshments will be served.
